2nd Global Conference on Person-Centred Care

Bridging Practice, Organisation and Governance

The University of Gothenburg Centre for Person-Centred Care (GPCC) is pleased to announce the 2nd Global Conference on Person-Centred Care, that will take place in Gothenburg, Sweden, 5th-7th May 2026. Optional pre-conference workshops will be offered 4th-5th May, followed by the full programme of the conference.

The 2nd GCPCC will focus on bridging practice, organisation and governance as related to person-centred care. The conference will platform several interdisciplinary and interprofessional fields, including integrated care, comprehensive care, and personalised health, and look at how these are anchored in partnerships bridging healthcare practices and organisations, as well as governance, policy and structural levels. This conference should therefore be of great interest to health professionals, patient and family carer representatives, researchers from various disciplines, designers, artists, leaders and decision-makers in health care and health policy, as well as the healthcare industry. The conference will be an on-site event.

Within the theme Person-Centred Care: Bridging Practice, Organisation and Governance, the keynotes and parallel streams will strive to synthesise and bridge a diversity of perspectives and various types of knowledge to person-centred care. The programme will cover a range of streams, including global perspectives, indigenous health, precision health, digitalisation, art/design and performance, informal care and carers, public involvement, and learning and education.

Type of work for the presentations: empirical research, art/media and performance, theoretical or philosophical inquiries, methodological developments, practice-based examples.

The format for presentations will be: oral presentations, poster presentations, symposia, and workshops.

Keynote speakers and how to submit abstracts will be announced in the 2nd call on 1st April, 2025. Deadline for submission of abstracts will be 25th August, followed by a 3rd call for abstracts for poster presentations only with a deadline of 16th November 2025.

The University of Gothenburg Centre for Person-Centred Care (GPCC) warmly welcomes you to Gothenburg.

The Global Conference on Person-Centred Care (GCPCC) was initiated by the University of Gothenburg Centre for Person-Centred Care.
